We have had a wonderful week of seasonal festivities throughout HLC  however, the enduring sentiment of Christmas is surely the singing of carols and the two Carols by Candlelight concerts held last Wednesday at Goldsborough Hall were a joy.  The Choir’s performance was impressive and Clare Gray is to be congratulated. Thank you for opening up your home – which was beautifully decorated – for this occasion and I am sure that Saint Michael’s Hospice will have been most grateful for your support.

“By far the best venue we have ever used for Radley”

Goldsborough Hall is the ideal setting to show our new collections each season and is by far the best venue we have ever used. The building and grounds are extremely beautiful, the bedrooms are the best I have ever stayed in with all modern facilities, and the staff are friends and attentive. The food is some of the best I have ever tasted. Mark, Clare and Charlotte welcome you into their home like friends.

“The venue has that delightful feel”

We are writing to convey our deepest thanks for the dinner on Saturday 20th June 2009. The venue was beautiful, the Daleside real ale was superb and the food was, according to our guests (and they do like their food) the best we have ever had at an event like this. All the food arrived hot, on time and top restaurant quality – so compliments to the chef! We made a good choice with the lamb, but as you know from the tasting evening we struggled to make our minds up and I guess we will have to come back again soon to try the duck and the beef. The dessert assiettes went down particularly well – and we apologize to any staff who might have been looking forward to the left-overs, as there weren’t any! You made us all feel very welcome and the venue has that delightful feel of dining in someone’s home (which it is), so thank you Mark for letting us share your home for the evening. We would be delighted to come again in the near future.
