"I would like to say on behalf of all the Active lifers a big THANK YOU to you and your team, for making us so welcome last Thursday.
I knew they would enjoy the visit and they did so much. The food was fantastic, I overheard them telling the other people in the group who did not come with us. Oh and that staircase another one said and the grounds and garden!

Yes the food was brilliant and to have warm food was good, they could smell that cooking, whilst Giles was giving the history talk. So yes we will be back at some other point."

"We are writing briefly to convey our deepest thanks for the dinner on Saturday 20th June 2009. The venue was beautiful, the Daleside real ale was superb and the food was, according to our guest (and they do like their food) the best we have ever had at an event like this. All the food arrived hot, on time and top restaurant quality - so compliments to the chef! We made a good choice with the lamb, but as you know from the tasting evening we struggled to make our minds up and I guess we will have to come back again soon to try the duck and the beef.

The dessert assiettes went down particularly well - and we apologize to any staff who might have been looking forward to the left-overs, as there weren't any!

You made us all feel very welcome and the venue has that delightful feel of dining in someone's home (which it is), so thank you Mark for letting us share your home for the eveining. We would be delighted to come again in the near future."
