David Stewart-Pybus, Head Chef of wedding venue Goldsborough Hall, was the runner up in the Chef of the Year category in the prestigious Destination Harrogate Hospitality and Tourism Awards which took place on 31st May 2011.
The judges were impressed with the number of nominations for David with many coming from guests who had held wedding receptions at the venue in the last year. They all praised David for the excellent quality cuisine that he delivered time and again from simple dishes to more sophisticated ideas.
One nominator wrote, “David is a superb young chef providing small or large scale catering solutions with amazing attention to detail and an uncompromising attitude to ingredients, preparation and presentation – he is able to crown a glorious social venue with top class dining.”
The Hall’s owner Mark Oglesby says, “We were thrilled with David’s nomination for Harrogate’s Chef of the Year and delighted that he was runner-up. It recognises David’s huge talent, knowledge and skill – and his use of local produce and producers throughout the region. We get lots of feedback from wedding and b&b guests who all tell us how amazing the food is here and we are grateful to all those who have voted for him in this award.”

Goldsborough Hall has been chosen by Vogue magazine as one of its 'Venues in Vogue'
Goldsborough Hall is thrilled to have been featured in the Christmas 2011 issue of the prestigious Vogue magazine as one of its Venues in Vogue.
In Vogue’s guide to the perfect wedding and honeymoon, the magazine describes the hall as ‘one of Yorkshire’s most memorable and unique venues’.

Goldsborough Hall listed in Brides magazine’s Top 100 venues
Goldsborough Hall is delighted to announce that it has been listed in this year’s top 100 wedding venues in influential Brides magazine (Mar-Apr 2011 issue) and is the highest listed venue in the Yorkshire region.
