Covered in Jacobean oak-panelling and with its elaborately painted plaster ceiling, this dramatic room can host up to 90 guests for a civil ceremony.

This room is almost exactly how it was in Princess Mary’s day – even the dog grate in the fireplace can be seen in photographs from her era.

Used mainly for reception drinks, the Library links beautifully with the central hallway, drawing room, conservatory bar area and the outside terrace.

With leather chesterfields dotted about and a roaring log fire in the colder months, this room has a warm, homely and relaxed feeling.

Once you are seated for your wedding breakfast, the room is quietly transformed for evening dancing. The furniture is removed to reveal a large parquet dance floor, creating an ideal space to entertain.

As the evening begins, guests flow from the wedding breakfast to the bar via the Library, maintaining the atmosphere all the way to the last dance.

The oak panelling acts like a giant speaker box, so no matter whether you choose an ipod dock or a full band, your guests will be entertained all evening long.
